About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, Berg Engineering is now looking for an experienced Stores Supervisor to join their team. The main duty of this role is to effectively manage and control Berg Engineering, Gladstone’s stock to ensure that its production targets are achieved on time. 

Reporting directly to the workshop manager, you will be responsible for the acquisition, receipt, and dispatch of Berg Engineering Gladstone’s stock, and will lead the store's team to ensure great inventory management. You will also be responsible for upholding rigorous safety standards within the warehouse team and the trucks coming in and out. 

Core duties:

  • Manage the control of Berg Engineering Gladstone’s stock
  • Work within the Stores Team to ensure Berg Engineering Gladstone’s activities complement its Business Plan 
  • Foster supplier relations, acting as the interface between Berg Engineering Gladstone and their suppliers
  • Ensure activities are performed in accordance with legislative requirements and Berg Engineering, Gladstone’s policies and procedures

About You

To be successful in this role you will have experience in warehouse management, including specific experience in procurement and store management. You will also have a current forklift or be willing to obtain one.

A qualification in Warehouse Management will be beneficial, but not required if you have extensive experience. A truck licence will also be advantageous but is not essential. 

You will need to be computer literate and have an understanding of how to navigate workshop or database entry software. You will also need to be a great communicator with strong people skills and the ability to lead a team. 

Additionally, experience and knowledge in the engineering industry will help you hit the ground running in your new role. This role will see you handing stock of hard parts, hand tools, and power tools so an understanding of these things will be helpful.
